A Legacy of Service. A Future of Impact.

Founded in 1929, the Stone Mountain Woman’s Club has been a driving force in shaping the heart and history of the Stone Mountain community. In 1930, the club became a proud member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC), joining a powerful network of women dedicated to service, leadership, and community impact.

For over 95 years, our club has been providing service to the community of Stone Mountain and surrounding areas. The work that we do is a lot like the granite that our clubhouse sits upon;  it provides strength to many things and reaches far beyond what can be seen on the surface.

We are a member driven, non-profit, volunteer service organization made up of women of all ages who share a very simple common goal – to serve and volunteer within our community.

The GFWC Stone Mountain Woman’s Club is a proud member of the Georgia Federation of Women’s Clubs (www.gfwcgeorgia.org) as well as the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (www.gfwc.org).   GFWC Georgia has approximately 65 clubs and over 1,500 members throughout the State of Georgia.  GFWC has over 60,000 members who are united in their dedication to volunteer service.

The GFWC Stone Mountain Woman’s Club offers a range of volunteer opportunities in the following areas:  Arts & Culture, Environment, Education & Libraries, Civic Engagement & Outreach, Health & Wellness and Women’s History. There is much to do within these areas in our community.  Please visit our Community Service Program pages to learn more about what we do in each of these areas:  Our Programs.

OUR MISSION is to enhance the lives of others in our local communities through volunteer service.

In a fast-paced digital world where many are driven by technology and virtual connections, we believe it’s more important than ever to bring back the human spirit with real face-to-face connection, compassion, and community service. Volunteering reminds us that kindness still matters, that lending a helping hand can change lives, and that together we can create a stronger, more caring world.

We are actively looking for new members who are ready to make a difference. Please consider joining our international organization and network of women who are committed to service, friendship, and strengthening their communities. Whether you’re a retiree who is eager to keep busy and keep learning, a young professional who is building your resume, or a parent looking for meaningful ways to involve your family—there’s a place for you here. You’ll make new friends, learn valuable skills, and have fun along the way. Together, we can build a brighter future and bring back the spirit of service that connects us all. Join us and be part of something meaningful.
