Welcome and thank you for visiting GFWC Stone Mountain Woman’s Club!
A Legacy of Service. A Future of Impact.
Founded in 1929, the Stone Mountain Woman’s Club has been a driving force in shaping the heart and history of the Stone Mountain community. In 1930, the club became a proud member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC), joining a powerful network of women dedicated to service, leadership, and community impact.
For over 95 years, our club has been providing service to the community of Stone Mountain and surrounding areas. The work that we do is a lot like the granite that our clubhouse sits upon. It provides strength to many things and reaches far beyond what can be seen.
We are a member driven non-profit volunteer service organization made up of women of all ages who share a very simple common goal to serve and volunteer within our community.
GFWC Stone Mountain Woman’s Club is a proud member of the Georgia Federation of Women’s Clubs,(www.gfwcgeorgia.org) as well as the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (www.gfwc.org). GFWC Georgia has approximately 63 clubs and over 1,500 members throughout the State of Georgia and GFWC which has 60,000 members strong and united in its dedication to volunteer community service.
Our Club offers a range of volunteer opportunities in five general areas: Arts & Culture, Environment, Education & Libraries, Civic Engagement & Outreach, and Health & Wellness and our favorite, Women’s History. There is much to do within these areas in our community. Please visit our Community Service Program pages to learn more about each Community Service area here: Our Programs.
OUR MISSION is to enhance the lives of others in our local communities through volunteer service.
In a fast-paced digital world where many are driven by technology and virtual connections, we believe it’s more important than ever to bring back the human spirit—real, face-to-face connection, compassion, and community service. Volunteering reminds us that kindness still matters, that lending a helping hand can change lives, and that together, we can create a stronger, more caring world.
We are actively looking for new members who are ready to make a difference. Please consider joining our international organization and network of women who are committed to service, friendship, and strengthening their communities. Whether you’re a retiree eager to keep learning, a young professional building your resume, or a parent looking for meaningful ways to involve your family—there’s a place for you here. You’ll make new friends, learn valuable skills, and have fun along the way. Together, we can build a brighter future and bring back the spirit of service that connects us all. Join us and be part of something meaningful.
